This brilliant person here is responsible for my incredible wedding photos. Today she flexed her talents taking photos for our band. It was honestly more fun just hanging out with these fine folk than actually taking the pictures, but I have to admit we did have some great places to take photos. If you want to see the work of someone who can capture the personalities of people, you should check out her site HERE.
Much love @WildLove
These would be the two gentlemen I played music with in Indiana. Yeah, we may have gotten into trouble here and there, but it was worth it. Great people and great musicians.
You might be wondering at this point where the other person is. Did you look at the sun glasses?
My wife’s family has a tradition to play hockey (no skates) out on the frozen lake, drink plenty of whiskey, and enjoy some fine home cooking at night. Beyond fun. That would be uncle Paul “the Wall”.
Hey, remember that one time we were climbing the hillsides and the clouds opened up over Florence, Italy and we looked over and thought, “Oh sh**, that is cool”. Cause I sure as hell do.
This has nothing to do with anything. So, yeah. There’s always that. If anything, grab some friends and bring a camera with you. Then stuff like this that has nothing to do with anything can happen to you. Enjoy your weekend!
I miss drumming on the cruise ships. Met some great musicians and friends in the pit orchestra. After a few months, THIS is what “coming home” felt like. 6 hours out in the city or island we ported at, and a few more hours of music at night. I encourage young musicians to try it out. Travel the world and get paid for it.
Waxing nostalgia. This was one of my favorite shots of San Juan. Since we docked on the other side of the city, I had to really hoof it to get to the other side of San Juan before dark. Took 3 days to get it right.
It’s been a while since I have been on here. Since I have been gone, I have had the single happiest day of my life, and I wanted to share it with you all.
(HUGE thank you to a dear friend WildLove for shooting this day)
Pompeii was my favorite destination while studying in Italy, and was able to take some of my favorite shots there…
For those who don’t already know, a great number of people in Pompeii were “flash fossilized”. The immense heat of the volcanic ash almost instantly fossilized these poor souls.
